Air conditioning unit en route to Poleng C Process Platform, Indonesia

OSV Engineering Pte Ltd delivered another air conditioning unit for an offshore platform in March 2007. The unit is to be used to air condition a Control room and an Electrical Equipment room on Poleng C Process Platform in Indonesian waters. It is designed as a single package but includes duplicate air conditioning systems and duplicate pressurising sytems all on one skid base. The pressurising sytems comply with the requirements of NFPA 496 which include providing an airflow velocity of 0.305 m/s through all openable doors when simultaneously open. Operation of the pressurisation fans is monitored and on failure of the duty fan the system will change over to the standby fan and alarm at a remote location.

The air conditioning unit cooling performance is 70kW (2 x 35kW)

The unit was delivered to Batam Island in Indonesia for assembly into the module. OSV also provided the design of the HVAC system and all other HVAC components including the control panel, heaters, dampers, ducting, grilles and diffusers.
